Distributors and Contractors Honored at Honeywell Momentum Conference

2/5/2007

Awards Include Distributor Of The Year

PHOENIX, February 5, 2007 – Today at the Momentum Conference in progress at the Pointe South Mountain Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced the winners of several awards. The award-winning distributors and contractors were honored with the announcement during a conference with their industry peers.
“The Momentum Conference has brought together more than 350 commercial HVAC distributors and contractors,” said Dave Molin, general manager, Honeywell Building Control Systems, “making it the perfect forum to pay tribute to top-performing companies.”
Earning the coveted Distributor of the Year Award was Control Consultants, Inc. of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Honeywell Authorized Systems Distributors are considered for this award, which is based upon two-year rolling volume, year-over-year growth, product mix, commitment to training and more. “Eleven of our distributors earned Honeywell Diamond Distributor status, which is an elite honor in itself,” notes Molin. “Control Consultants rose to the top of that list and we’re proud to name them our Distributor of the Year.”
Honeywell Authorized Controls Integrators (ACI) qualify for awards in two categories, ACI of the Year and ACI Rookie of the Year. The awards are based on volume, major projects won and completed, creative solutions, technical competency and the commitment to partnering with other Honeywell groups. Southeastern Temperature Controls of Birmingham, Alabama, was named ACI of the Year. The ACI Rookie of the Year, the top new contractor in the category, was Enterprise Electrical & Mechanical of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Also honored at the conference was Burke Engineering Company of South El Monte, California, winner of the Honeywell Award of Distinction. This award is given to the distributor that excelled in year-over-year growth in a particular product area. “Burke Engineering earned this special award,” said Molin, “because they found a niche market for Honeywell Variable Frequency Drives and delivered significant growth.”
The Honeywell Momentum Conference features workshops, training opportunities, new product launches and a trade show for Honeywell’s commercial HVAC contractor and distributor community.
