We talked to contractors who are installing Spyder today to learn what they’ve learned about how to successfully get up to speed with this product and how to make the most of it in their business.
Use the Buildings Forum
The Honeywell Buildings Forum is a place where contractors go to get answers on Spyder. DEEM first said about the Forum, “The responsiveness from Honeywell team was spectacular. Use this indispensable resource.”
Save Your Programming Always save your work to the library. If you have any problems with an installation site, you won’t loose your work. If needed, you can reload the programming back into the installation. As well, you can reuse the work you’ve already done for similar installations.
Practice Nothing beats practice with the real thing. Get a couple of Spyders and set up a demo area in your office. Practice different installation configurations to see how the product behaves and how the software tool works.
Pre-program Spyders Save time and hassles by programming Spyder remotely (in office). When all the programming is done, take Spyder to the site and install it.
Open Up Demo Station on Workplace Open up demo station on workplace to see how it works to learn more.
Start Small Most contractors said they started with a few of small jobs first. The smaller installs gave them a chance to get to know Spyder without the stress of delivering on a large or complex project. Contractors recommend anyone just getting started with Spyder do the same.
Download the Latest Version Make sure you have the latest build for Spyder before programming your jobs. To download the tool go to the Buildings Forum.
